When we indicate that a Maternitywear garment is Ex ?? Such as Ex Mothercare or Ex M&S we are indicating the Maternity Label that was on The Garment originally had this Stores Name or Brand on it and that according to our records this was the Store it was originally destined for but for one of a number of reasons the ladieswear garment has ended up in the Surplus Clothing Market this Could be because the Maternitywear Garment was a Surplus Stock (Overstock) Garment where the Manufacturer Produced More than the Store Originally ordered or it could be a Cancelled Order where the Store Cancelled the boyswear Garment or in some cases they could be classed as seconds, Not necessarily because they are flawed this could be down to something as simple as a Wrong Colour,Pattern or even Style on the ladieswear item.
In order To Comply with Current Legislation we are Forced to Do some work to the Labels this is more generally know in the industry as Detagging this is where all The Brand Names and Trademarks Must be removed Prior to Sale to the Retail Customer. Some Store Groups have this done even before the garment is released to our Marketplace and these companies sometimes do use Labels indicating this garment is a second.
While a Licensed Garment could be either A Private Manufacturers or an Officially Licensed Product Such as Dora pyjamas,Barbie slippers Action Man dressing gowns Spiderman T-Shirt and so on with These Brands We pay Slightly Extra for the License to resell these without having to Detag the Garment. Be careful that is a licensed Garment and Not a Store Garment (Some Stores such as BHS Do Commission Character wear and these garments Must Be Detagged as Above.
